Meet the AppSec Leader: Pippin Wallace, Favor Delivery
Pippin Wallace is the DevSecOps/AppSec leader at Favor Delivery, a same-day delivery and online food ordering platform. Favor is a subsidiary of HEB, the largest grocery store chain in Texas. (Fun fact—HEB ranks as America’s top place to buy groceries, with Amazon at #2 and Costco at #3!) Favor Delivery employs a modern Kubernetes stack and Pippin manages the AppSec process for very demanding dev and ops teams as they build secure cloud native applications, with cutting edge CI/CD processes.
Deepfactor founder/CEO Kiran Kamity will be talking with Pippin about his DevSecOps/AppSec journey through financial services and tech companies, including Oracle, and how he’s acquired the skills and developed the career focus he has today, and what it takes to be the AppSec leader at a modern cloud-native dev shop. Pippin also lives in beautiful Montana and has some really interesting passions, like rock and ice climbing, so we’ll definitely be asking him about that!
